Celebration of Chinese New Year

As we knows, In Malaysia, Chinese New Year is an important celebration amongs Chinese. It is also an public holiday for all sectors.


There are 15-day celebration of Chinese New Year.
Chinese New Year starts with New Moon on the first day of the new year and ends on the full moon of 15 days later. The 15th day of the new year is called Chap Goh Mei.

The celebration started on the day before of the Lunar New Year and it is known as ‘除夕’(reunion) or New Year Eve. Normally, on this day, almost all the chinese family will wake up early in the morning to pray their ancestor. After this, the whole family members will be busying tidy up their house with those chinese decorations. At night, it is the time for the whole member sits together to have a reunion dinner. Mostly, all of relatives, son and daughter will rush back fron outstation in order to reunion together. New Year Eve are celebrated as a family affair, a time of reunion and thankgiving. The celebration was traditionally highlighted with a religious ceremony given in the honor of Heaven and Earth, the gods of the household and the family ancestors.

The first day of the Lunar New Year is "the welcoming of the gods of the heavens and earth." Most of people will abstain from meat on the first day of the new year because it is believed that this will ensure long and happy lives for them. On this day, adults will wake up early in the morning to pray to the gods while their children will also wake up early and dressed up with new clothes. After that, they wish their parents happy chinese new year in order get ang pao （压岁钱）. In ancient time, children need to knee down to give tea to their parents. But in the modernization society, this custom is less practice.

After this, parents will bring their children to pay visit to their relatives houses. Adults will gather at a corner to gamble while the children will play around joyfully.

For your information, duration of Chinese New Year is about 15 days...

进贼记

2008 年12 月14 日（星期日）- 晚上7时30分至9时40 分左右。。。我家不幸的给印尼贼看中。。。。

当天晚上， 我及家人就浩浩荡荡的出去餐馆吃一顿好料的。。。 大约晚上9时30多分，我与家人就回到家了。。 正当准备开门时，发现屋内有些不妥，窗口是开开的，前房及厨房的灯是亮的。。弟弟就责怪我浪费电，忘记把灯关掉。。 可是。。 可是。。 在我的印象中， 我出门前已经把所有的灯都关了。。 结果，弟弟就轻轻的拉一下大厅的铁门，发现铁门是开的，被人动过手脚，锁头扣已经被剪了。。。

弟弟一发现情况不妙，就把我给拉进去车(连鞋都没有穿)，叫爸爸赶快去警局报案。。 可是我却坚决的要下去查看，了解情况后，在做打算。。。当时，我和爸爸好像盲头苍蝇一样，横冲直窜的进去屋里，完全没有顾及后果及安危。。。 回想起都让人胆怕。。首先，我们慢慢的检查铁门，发现此贼果真的不简单，太厉害了。。。 他只是剪铁门中的一小段铁支，然后因为无法把锁头剪掉（锁头是上等货，专名拿来防盗），他就把锁头扣剪断。。 当我一进门，看见前房零乱不堪，看了这种情形，我顿时愣住了，脑海中一边空白，那种无形 的恐惧顿时涌上心头。。。 非常非常的可怕。。 可怕。。 可怕。。 然后，从前房走到主人房，发现主人房更糟糕。。 衣橱，抽屉里的东西全部、通通都被搜过，通通都被丢出来，东西都堆满了整个房间。。。 除此之外，厨房都有被搜过的迹象。 该死的贼也已经把后门的锁头扣剪断，铺好一条后路让他在紧急的时候逃脱。。。

这个过程，贼没有留下任何足迹，非常的高明。。 过后不久，当然是警察来了，一个不断的拍照，一个就看看家里的情形，其余的无所事事。。 过后，就走人，临走前，说了一句话，

“ Encik, Tengok macam manalah, kalau dapat tangkap, kami akan telefon Encik la…”

当爸爸给了他们一些小费后，性情又不一样的。。

“ Aiii.. Terima kasih aaa… Kalau ada apa-apa Encik boleh telefon no saya bila-bila saja, ini memang tugas saya”

看到MALAYSIA POLIS 真的是KANASAI。。 我就不想信凭几张照片就可以捉到小偷。。 都没有做事情，没有去拿指纹回去化验，没有查看铁门是这样被破的。。。 咳。。。 哀哉。。哀哉。。。真的不能怪马来西亚的治安是如此的糟糕，那些偷东西，杀人放火的不法之徒往往就这样的轻轻松松的逃过法律的制裁。

那天晚上，我们整家人足足整理大约整个晚上，通宵不能睡觉。唉，事情发生了，我们大家的心情是多么的害怕，恐惧。。 就算是累，我们都难以入眠，要睡也睡不安啦。。。都很担心，贼又会重来。 那一整晚，我真的是很怕很怕。弟弟，爸爸都累到睡了，妈妈那时在新加坡都非常的睡不着。。 结果，玩都没有玩到，就直接从柔佛飞回来了。。想足了一整晚，非常好奇， 很多的疑点： 我家附近有餐馆，进进出出的人很多，为什么没有人看到贼在剪铁门呢？还有感觉到此贼能够跳进跳出自如，也没有人发现，邻居尽然没有发现到？? 另外，贼在搜屋里时，各个角落都被翻到天翻地覆，只有客厅没有被搜过的迹象？另外，此贼还好没有连我的digital camera 和laptop 给偷走，不然，我肯定哭死。。。。

好啦，事情没有发生都已经发生了，现在唯有能做的就是补救,正所谓亡羊补牢，未为迟也。从这次的事件，算是我们不好彩，就当作拿人生的一次经验。。 希望我能够尽快走这次的阴影。。。 阿弥陀佛！！ 善哉。。善哉！!

圆满的举办新生交流营

砂大华协在砂大钟灵同学会的参与及帮助下，已经圆满的举办这一次的新生交流营。。。

在此营中， 意义非凡， 相信每个营员及营委都得到意想不到的收获。。。

这个营我们砂大华协第一次举办的两天一夜的营，有史以来的第一次。。它是在8月2日及3日在sematan 海边进行。。。。

身为此营的营长， 感触良多。。。。
我们先从筹备工作中讲起。。。

在那两个月的筹备工作中， 我面对了不少的困难。。。
先面对着是无法找到合适的住宿， 紧接着是资金来源的问题（营费无法囊过整个营的开支）。。。
因而，考虑到我们的营员的负担，我们都不想他们支付昂贵的营费，所以都在积极的寻找赞助商。。。
当一切看似顺利的筹备的时候，突然与一位营委发生口角。。。至于为何发生口角，我也不愿多说。。。让它在记忆中慢慢的磨淡。。。 有些时候，做活动时，都难免会和营委产生摩擦。。。。 是不是这样彼此之间的感情才会更加好呢？？？？

过后， 我们面对的问题是营员参与反应冷淡。。。。 不过，还是要多谢各位营委的努力， 把从原本的10营员增加到51 营员。。。。 这种精神都值得大家去赞扬及学习的。。。。
因为在那个时候， 营员们都纷纷与他们学院orientation 撞期。。 很多都无法出席我们的交流营。。。 （当然当中都有很多放弃参加学院orientation 而参加我们的交流营）谢谢你们的支持。。。 希望往后砂大华协的所举办的活动，你们都能踊跃的出席。。。。

无可否认的，我的士气从很有斗志到心灰意冷。。。。

在营的当儿， 出现不少的状况。。。。
conference room 的音响不理想。。。 地方不够大。。。
很多节目都被逼展延或cancel , 因为老天爷不尝脸。。。 在我们进行的沙滩游戏时，下起雨来。。。
不只这样，我们的烧烤会都必须在雨中进行。。。。 大家掌着雨伞的目的不是遮自己，而是遮“鸡”
这一幕是值得我们留念的。。。。。

终得来说， 此终算是顺利的进行。。。 我也从中体会到很多很多东西，也得到不少的收获。。。 嘻嘻。。
